Setting Up Email Accounts in cPanel
This guide will walk you through the process of creating and configuring email accounts using cPanel.
Step 1: Access cPanel
Log into your hosting account and navigate to the cPanel dashboard. Look for the Email section.
Step 2: Create Email Account
- Click on Email Accounts
- Enter your desired email address (the part before @yourdomain.com)
- Set a strong password or use the password generator
- Set the mailbox quota (storage limit)
- Click Create Account
Step 3: Configure Email Client
To access your email from Outlook, Thunderbird, or mobile devices, use these settings:
- Incoming Server: mail.yourdomain.com
- Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.com
- Port 993 (IMAP SSL) or Port 995 (POP3 SSL)
- Authentication: Required
Step 4: Test Your Email
Send a test email to verify everything is working correctly. You can also access webmail directly through cPanel.
Note: DNS propagation may take up to 24 hours for new domains.
